Threat Prompts Lockdown At Eli Whitney Tech In Hamden
Officials are investigating a social media threat, according to reports.
HAMDEN, CT — Eli Whitney Technical School in Hamden has been locked down due to a threat, according to multiple reports.
The New Haven Register reports Connecticut State Police were alerted by a parent around 9:45 a.m. that a student saw a social media threat that was believed to be related to Eli Whitney Technical School in Hamden.
The school principal was contacted, and a lockdown was initiated at the school, according to NBC Connecticut.

Students and staff are being sent home for the day, WTNH News 8 reports.
Hamden High School is closed until Wednesday after the district received another threat directed toward the school community, officials announced late Sunday night. The school was also closed on Friday due to a threat.
