Clothing Giveaway at Clarion Hotel

Hamden – With the abundance of donations received from our wonderful community, Community Services will be hosting a clothing giveaway on Thursday February 24th from 9am to 1pm in the conference room of the Clarion Hotel.

On the evening of Monday, February 14th, a fire engulfed the 22 unit apartment building at 42 Warner Street. Consequently, 60 residents are without homes and their personal belongings were destroyed.

We are overwhelmed by the amount of donations we have received from the community and we would like to thank everyone who donated. The Keefe Community Center has over 300 bags of donations.

Due to the possibility of inclement weather Thursday evening through Friday, Community Services will be holding a clothing giveaway Thursday, February 24th from 9am until 1pm at the Clarion Hotel, 2260 Whitney Ave. The giveaway will be in the conference room of the Clarion Hotel, so please enter the hotel via the rear entrance. All new items will be put in storage for future needs while gently used items will be donated to shelters and churches.

At this time, the Keefe Community Center is only accepting donations of gift cards. Please drop off gift cards to the Keefe Community Center Monday-Friday, 8:30am to 4:30pm.
