Town Offices Closed, Trash & Recycling Pickup Delayed In Hamden

HAMDEN, CT — Town officials are reminding residents and staff of the following holiday information.

All town offices and buildings, including Government Center, Keefe Community Center, all Hamden Public Library buildings, and the Hamden Transfer Station, will be closed Tuesday, July 4, in observance of Independence Day. They will reopen on Wednesday, July 5 at their regularly scheduled hours. The library’s digital branch is available 24/7.

Trash and recycling pick-up for Tuesday, July 4 will be delayed one day for the remainder of the week due to the Independence Day holiday. The pick-up normally scheduled for Tuesday, July 4 will occur on Wednesday, July 5 and so forth, culminating in Friday's pick-up taking place on Saturday.
