Town to Renovate Athletic Fields at Hamden High School
The Legislative Council unanimously approved a contract with Milone and MacBroom of Cheshire.

The Hamden Legislative Council unanimously approved a contract to begin renovating the Hamden High School football field with synthetic turf and to enhance surrounding fields, according to the New Haven Register.
The project is expected to cost at least $1.2 million. The existing turf fields were installed in 2002 with synthetic turf that is recommended to be replaced every 10-12 years, according to the Register.
The Register reports that council has agreed to work with architect group Milone and MacBroom of Cheshire for the football and track field, but it is also hoping to fix the baseball field and make the field an all-purpose field as well fix the lights.
