Tree Falls On Car In Hamden

Police say the car was unoccupied at the time and a road was temporarily closed.

HAMDEN, CT — Heavy winds have been knocking down trees and branches around Hamden on Thursday.

Hamden Police shared a photo on Twitter of a tree that fell on top of a parked car on Woodlawn Street near Greenway.

“Thankfully this car was unoccupied,” police said in the Tweet.

The tree has been cleared and the road was reopened as of 1 p.m., according to police.
