Undercover Prostitution Sting Operation Leads to Arrest of Spa Owner: Hamden Police
Police received information that prostitution had been taking place at the spa.

HAMDEN, CT — The owner of Kismet Spa faces prostitution-related charges following an undercover sting operation by Hamden Police.
On Jan. 13, members of the Hamden Police Department Street Interdiction Team, with assistance from the Ethics and Integrity Unit, concluded a prostitution investigation with the arrest of Jianwei Zhang, according to Capt. Ronald Smith.
Zhang is the owner of Kismet Spa, which is located at 2375 Whitney Avenue.

Smith said police received information that prostitution had been occurring at Kismet Spa. An undercover sting operation was conducted, which led to the arrest of Zhang, according to Smith.
Zhang, 55, of Randolph, Massachusetts, was charged with prostitution and permitting prostitution. She was detained at police headquarters on a $2,500 bond.

Zhang is scheduled to appear in Meriden Superior Court on Jan. 27.
