Untimely Death Investigated In Hamden: Police

Police responded to a report of an unresponsive woman early Thursday morning, according to officials.

HAMDEN, CT — Police are investigating the untimely death of a Massachusetts woman early Thursday morning in Hamden, according to officials.

The Hamden police and fire departments responded to a home on Main Street around 6:25 a.m. on the report of an unresponsive 40-year-old woman, according to Sgt. Angela Vey.

Fire personnel rendered aid to Stephanie Orlandino, of Saugus, Massachusetts, who was later pronounced dead at the scene, according to Vey.

Vey said Orlandino’s body was taken to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Farmington for an autopsy.

The preliminary investigation found no signs of foul play, and next of kin was notified, according to Vey. The Chief Medical Examiner’s office is assisting with the investigation and will determine the cause and manner of death, Vey said.
