Victim Identified In Fatal Motorcycle Crash In Hamden
The crash occurred on Monday afternoon in Hamden.

HAMDEN, CT — The victim in Sunday afternoon’s fatal motorcycle crash in Hamden has been identified as William Evans, 38, of New Haven, according to police. At about 4 p.m. on Sept. 4, Hamden Police responded to a motor vehicle accident with injuries at the intersection of Mix Avenue and East Gate Lane, according to Capt. Ronald Smith. Officers were advised that the accident involved a vehicle and a motorcycle.
Moments later, Hamden Police and Hamden Fire Rescue personnel rendered medical assistance on Evans, the operator of the motorcycle. Evans was pronounced dead by paramedics, according to Smith.
Smith said a preliminary investigation has revealed that a vehicle, which was operated by a 70-year-old Hamden woman, was traveling northbound on Mix Avenue. The vehicle made a left turn, into the path of the motorcycle, according to Smith.
