Godfrey rushed for three touchdowns in the first half.

While Godfrey was lights out on the field, the lights literally went out in a power outage 5 minutes before the end of the first half.

After 15 minutes of being in the dark, the game resumed and West Haven saw the light.

Godfrey scored his first touchdown with a run up the gut off a handoff from quarterback Tim McCarthy on a fourth-and-goal. He also rushed for two more touchdowns in the second quarter.

Godfrey also ran in a 2-point conversion after West Haven’s Christian Chance scored on a 37-yard touchdown run in the second quarter.

Hamden scored its only points of the game in the last 10 seconds of the first quarter.

Quarterback Stanley Arlington kept the ball for a 54-yard touchdown. The conversion failed and the Green Dragons trailed 36-6 at halftime.

The Blue Devils scored the only points for either team in the second half when receiver Shelian Velazquez made an excellent catch in the end zone in the third quarter for a final score of 43-6.
