HAMDEN, CT — Internet and email access has been shut down in all Hamden schools as officials respond to a computer virus, according to the school district’s website.

“Due to steps taken to mitigate a cyber virus, Internet and Email access has been suspended in all Hamden schools and programs,” officials wrote in the post. “If you need to contact your child's school or the district offices, please do so by telephone call.

“This outage will not affect school operations, programs or athletics. (We can still teach and learn 'offline'!) :-)

“We expect this issue to take a few days to resolve. We thank you for your patience.”
