Wanted Woman Arrested After Traffic Stop In Hamden: Police
Police say the woman drove through a red light and was found to have an active arrest warrant.

HAMDEN, CT — A woman who was wanted on an arrest warrant out of New Haven was taken into custody after a traffic stop Wednesday night in Hamden, according to police. At about 8 p.m. on Oct. 4, an officer saw a vehicle go through a red light and initiated a motor vehicle stop at the intersection of Cherry Ann Street and Alstrum Street, according to Capt. Ronald Smith.
Smith said the driver, Tashema Monai-Cloud, was found to be wanted by the New Haven Police Department on an outstanding arrest warrant. Monai-Cloud was taken into custody and transported to police headquarters.
Monai-Cloud, 33, of Sherman Parkway in New Haven, was arrested on charges of second-degree failure to appear, interfering with a police officer, operating under suspension, failure to obey control signal, no insurance and failure to carry registration. She was detained on a court-ordered $500 bond. She is scheduled to appear in New Haven Superior Court on Oct. 17.
