Pictured members of the West Haven Garden Club cleaning up the enclosure of the memorial stone marking the burial site of British Adjutant William Campbell (the man for whom Campbell Ave. is named). He is considered a local hero for saving the life of a local clergyman, during the Revolutionary War. The site is on Prudden St. surrounded by the University of New Haven's campus.
It is a small park with a bench donated by the West Haven Garden Club.
