Missing 64-Year-Old Woman From Hamden Found Safe: Police

HAMDEN, CT — The 64-year-old woman missing from Hamden has been safely located, police said in an update on Friday.

"The Hamden Police Department would like to thank our community, our law enforcement partners, and everyone who shared her information," police wrote in a statement. "Your assistance played an important role in helping bring her home safely."

The woman had been reported missing from the Dunbar Hill Road area of Hamden. She was last seen around 7 p.m. on Wednesday, June 24, according to police.

A Purple Alert was issued for the woman, who police said suffers from dementia.
