Missing Hamden Woman, 72, Found Safe: Update

A Silver Alert had been issued for the woman.

UPDATE: The Silver Alert has been canceled and Dorothy Ventriglio has been found safe, according to Hamden police.

(Original post) HAMDEN, CT — A Silver Alert has been issued for Dorothy Ventriglio, 72, who was reported missing on Wednesday, Feb. 23, according to Hamden police.

Ventriglio went missing from the area of Downes Road in Hamden during the daytime hours on Wednesday, according to police. She is described as 5 feet, 3 inches tall and weighs 80 pounds.

She was last seen wearing a gray sweatshirt and black leggings.

Police said Ventriglio did not have a vehicle or phone with her, and her whereabouts are unknown.
