Woman Fatally Struck By Car In Hamden: Police

HAMDEN, CT — A woman died after she was hit by a car in Hamden on Friday night, authorities said.

Hamden police said the woman was struck in the area of 2320 Dixwell Ave. shortly before 11 p.m. Police said she was taken to the hospital with injuries initially believed to be non-life-threatening; however, the woman died at the hospital a short time later.

Authorities did not release the woman's name pending notification of family.

Police said the car's driver remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
