HAMDEN, CT — A Hamden woman is accused of running over a man with her car after an argument in a hotel parking lot early Monday morning, according to police.
Police responded to the parking lot of Clarion Inn and Suites, 2260 Whitney Ave., around 7:30 a.m. on Oct. 12 on the report of a “pedestrian struck,” according to Capt. Ronald Smith. When police arrived, Hamden Fire Rescue was rendering medical aid to a 40-year-old Hamden resident, Smith said.
The victim suffered numerous injuries, including a fractured pelvis, and was taken to Yale-New Haven Hospital.

Smith said the victim and Jennifer Bonaparte, who was known to him, had been arguing outside of the front door of the hotel. Bonaparte then got into her vehicle and struck the victim, knocking him to the ground, according to Smith.
“Bonaparte then ran over the victim with her vehicle,” Smith wrote in a news release. “After several seconds, Bonaparte placed her vehicle in reverse. Further investigation revealed that Bonaparte’s vehicle appears to briefly ‘rest on top’ of the victim, before ‘backing up over his body in reverse.’”
