Woman Robbed Of Lunch At Gunpoint: Hamden Police
The 60-year-old woman was walking to the bus stop when an armed man demanded her belongings and she handed over her lunch, police said.
HAMDEN, CT — A woman was robbed of her lunch at gunpoint at a bus stop early Thursday morning in Hamden, according to police.
Police responded to Glemby Street around 5:15 a.m. for a report of an armed street robbery. The victim, a 60-year-old Hamden resident, was walking to the bus stop when she was approached by a man who got out of a gray SUV, according to Capt. Ronald Smith.
The suspect pointed a gun at the woman and demanded her belongings. The victim handed over her lunch, Smith said.

The suspect was described as a black man in his late teens, about 5 feet, 4 inches, with a thin build. He was wearing dark clothing, according to Smith. He left in the SUV, heading south on Glemby Street.
