Woman Tied Up During Home Invasion at Hamden Apartment
Suspect was armed, fled with victim's car, electronics and debit card.

Hamden police are investigating a home invasion in which a man armed with a gun broke into an apartment on Kaye Vue Drive, tied up the female resident and fled with her car, electronic equipment and debit card on Monday afternoon, according to a police press release.
Police responded to the residence at about 1 p.m. and investigation revealed that the suspect, described as a black male and heavyset, forcibly entered the apartment through a bathroom window, while the victim was asleep.
Police said that once inside, the individual tied the victim’s hands behind her back and then tied her feet together.

The suspect subsequently rummaged through the 26-year-old’s residence, fleeing with her motor vehicle, described as a black Subaru Impreza hatchback, Connecticut registration 436-YRA, electronic equipment and her bank debit card, according to police.
The victim advised police that her attacker was armed with a gun.

Police said the victim, who was emotionally traumatized, did not suffer any physical injuries.
