WTNH Meteorologist Appears in Court in Child Porn Case
Justin Goldstein, a Hamden resident, was recently arrested on child pornography charges and has been suspended while the case is pending.

HAMDEN, CT — Suspended WTNH meteorologist Justin Goldstein was in court Tuesday to face child pornography charges but the case was continued until August 12, according to NBC Connecticut.
Goldstein, 33, of Aspen Glen Drive in Hamden, was arrested July 13 at the WTNH offices after authorities executed a search warrant at his home as part of a child pornography investigation.
Goldstein is accused of downloading three video clips of adults engaged in sex acts with girls under 13 years of age, according to the New Haven Register.

One of the girls depicted in the video could have been possibly as young as 4 years old, NBC Connecticut reports.
Connecticut State Police investigators said they believe Goldstein used computer peer-to-peer file-sharing to download the clips, which in the process allegedly stamped his computer IP address to the transfer, which state police were able to track.

Authorities seized computers and computer-related equipment from the home during the search.
Examinations of the seized property were conducted at the scene and files of suspected child pornography were located, according to police.
Police then took Goldstein into custody at his office.
Goldstein was arrested on charges of promoting a minor in an obscene performance and first-degree illegal possession of child pornography.
Goldstein has been suspended from WTNH while his case is pending, according to station officials.
