1 Dead, 5 Injured In Bloomfield Crash: Report

The crash occurred around 5:15 a.m. on Blue Hills Avenue between West Dudley Town and Old Windsor roads in Bloomfield​, WFSB reported.

BLOOMFIELD, CT — One person is dead and five others injured following a crash early Friday morning when two vehicles traveled off the road, one of them striking a utility pole and the other striking a building, WFSB reported.

The crash occurred around 5:15 a.m. on Blue Hills Avenue between West Dudley Town and Old Windsor roads in Bloomfield, the outlet reported.

The vehicle that struck the pole had five people in it, one of whom died at the scene and the other four of whom were taken to the hospital with serious injuries, according to WFSB. The person in the vehicle which hit a building was also seriously injured.

NBC Connecticut reported that the person killed was 23-years-old, and a 33-year-old Windsor man suffered life-threatening injuries. Four others injured in the crash are all under the age of 30, and they suffered serious injuries, NBC Connecticut reported. The identity of the deceased has not yet been released.
