1 Dead, Others Injured In Hartford Crash Involving Motorcycle: Reports

The crash occurred at 1:50 p.m. near Zion Street and Harbison Avenue, officials said.

HARTFORD, CT — One person was killed and two others injured in a crash involving a motorcycle and a Nissan in Hartford Sunday afternoon, according to multiple reports.

The crash occurred at 1:50 p.m. near Zion Street and Harbison Avenue, where the driver of the motorcycle, 20-year-old John Marrero of Hartford, and his passenger, a 22-year-old woman, suffered "serious, potentially life-threatening injuries," the Hartford Police Department told the Hartford Courant.

Marrero later died at the hospital. The woman was also hospitalized, though there is no update on her condition, the Courant reported.

The driver of the Nissan, who remained at the scene following the crash, was taken to the hospital with only minor injuries.

The crash information was corroborated in WNTH, which also reported that police arrived at the scene to find Marrero and the woman in the roadway with the Yamaha motorcycle.
