18 Displaced After Hartford Fire Wednesday Night
The Red Cross is helping a total of six families displaced, including 12 adults and six children.
HARTFORD, CT — The American Red Cross is helping 18 people displaced after fire ripped through their Hartford apartment building Wednesday night.
The American Red Cross said it is helping six families – 12 adults and six children — after a fire on Rowe Avenue, Hartford.
As part of the aid, the Red Cross provided a recovery envelope containing information helpful to families recovering from a fire, including tips on cleanup; notification of important contacts; dealing with damaged items, and more.

It also provided comfort kits containing personal care items such as deodorant, toothbrushes, shaving supplies, and other items a resident might need when suddenly displaced from their home by a fire.
According to WFSB Channel 3, the blaze was at a 12-unit building on 104 Rowe Ave., which is located in the city's Parkville neighborhood.

WTNH Channel 8 said the fire at the three-story building was first reported at about 8:17 p.m. on Wednesday, with firefighters reporting flames on the second floor into the third floor.
No injuries were reported in the fire.
