2-Day Winter Weather Advisory Issued For Hartford/Tolland County
The National Weather Service issued a winter weather advisory for Monday and Tuesday in Hartford/Tolland/Windham county.
HARTFORD/TOLLAND/WINDHAM, COUNTY — The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for northern Connecticut for Monday and Tuesday.
The advisory goes into effect noon Monday and ends at 7 a.m. Tuesday. "Mixed precipitation expected. Total snow accumulations of a dusting to one inch and ice accumulations of a light glaze," the weather service said.
"Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the Monday afternoon and evening commute," the weather service said.

Monday: A chance of snow before noon, then a chance of snow and freezing rain between noon and 1pm, then rain likely after 1pm. Cloudy, with a high near 38. Light north wind. Chance of precipitation is 60%. Little or no snow accumulation expected.

Monday Night: Rain likely, mainly before midnight. Cloudy, with a low around 31. Light and variable wind becoming north around 6 mph in the evening. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.
Tuesday: A chance of rain and snow showers before 8am, then a slight chance of rain showers between 8am and 10am. Partly sunny, with a high near 45. Northwest wind around 6 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%. Little or no snow accumulation expected.

Monday Night: Rain likely before 3am, then rain likely, possibly mixed with freezing rain between 3am and 5am, then a chance of rain, snow, and freezing rain after 5am. Cloudy, with a low around 30. Northeast wind around 6 mph becoming north after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 60%. Little or no snow accumulation expected.
Tuesday: A chance of rain and snow showers before 9am, then a slight chance of rain showers between 9am and 11am. Partly sunny, with a high near 43. Northwest wind around 8 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%. Little or no snow accumulation expected.
