2 New Doctors Join Major Hartford-Area Orthapedic Group
Orthopedic Associates of Hartford this week welcomed a West Hartford resident and a Farmington resident to its team.

HARTFORD/WEST HARTFORD/FARMINGTON —Orthopedic Associates of Hartford (OAH) this week announced two new physicians to the medical staff.
They are Dr. Cameron Kia of Farmington, an orthopedic spine specialist, and Dr. Jeffrey Olson of West Hartford, a shoulder and elbow specialist.

Kia is an orthopedic spine surgeon who specializes in both operative and non-operative
spinal disorders.
He has clinical expertise in both complex and minimally invasive spine surgery,including disc replacement and motion preservation of the spine.

“I’m thrilled to be a part of OAH and to be able to offer patients new treatments in minimally invasive and motion preservation surgery,” said Kia. “I’m also honored to be a part of a respected
orthopedic group with an established reputation, and to have partners that are also utilizing innovative technology in our practice.”
Kia was born and raised in New England, graduating as a University Scholar from the University of
Connecticut. He continued his training here, completing his medical school and orthopedic surgery at UConn.
Following residency, he completed his spine fellowship at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago.
Kia is seeing patients in the Enfield, Hartford, Plainville and Rocky Hill locations.
Olson is an orthopedic surgeon specializing in complex reconstructive and arthroscopic
shoulder and elbow surgery.
His clinical interests include primary and revision shoulder replacement, rotator cuff disease, shoulder instability, scapulothoracic disorders, tendon transfers, fractures, and sports-related conditions and procedures such as Tommy John surgery.
“As a shoulder and elbow specialist, I treat all conditions of the shoulder and elbow from arthritis and rotator cuff tears to fractures and sports-related injuries. I have a specific interest in shoulder
replacement surgery for arthritis and I use cutting-edge technology such as 3D preoperative planning software to better visualize the patient’s surgical anatomy and pathology before surgery and to execute complex surgery at a high level using patient-specific implants,” said Olson.
“Even more important, the team at OAH is an incredible group of caring medical professionals and I am honored to join the team,” added Olson.
Olson grew up in Massachusetts, where he attended the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, Mass., and graduated cum laude with a degree in biology.
He earned his medical degree from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine in Cleveland, Ohio.
Following graduation, he completed his orthopedic surgery training at the Harvard Combined Orthopedic Residency Program, where he was elected administrative chief resident
in his final year.
Following residency, he went on to complete a one-year fellowship at the Washington University in St. Louis, Mo.
Olson is seeing patients in the Enfield, Hartford, Manchester, Plainville and Rocky Hill locations.
