3 Hartford Men Accused Of Shooting In Vermont: Police
Police caught two men following a pursuit and are searching for a third accused of involvement in a shooting.

HARTFORD, CT — Two Hartford men were arrested in Newport, VT in connection with a shooting in that town. Newport police said in a statement that they have an arrest warrant and are actively searching for a third man accused in the shooting.
Wilford Cerpa, 23, was charged with accessory after the fact of second-degree attempted murder. Michael Alamo, 23, was charged with second-degree unlawful restraint.
Police are searching for Jaquan Flintroy, 26, who is accused of being the shooter and is wanted on a charge of second-degree attempted murder.

The shooting took place in the Waterford Plaza parking lot at 11:30 a.m. Monday. Another Hartford man was shot and transported to University of Vermont Medical Center where he is in stable condition, according to police.
In an initial investigation, police determined that the shooting occurred in the back seat of a white sedan after an argument between the victim and another person. The car believed to be involved in the shooting, which was allegedly driven by Cerpa with Alamo as the front passenger, fled the plaza.

All of the people involved in the incident know each other, according to police.
Police said that Cerpa and Alamo went to a local home address the victim provided searching for his belongings. At the home, Alamo is accused of displaying a gun and blocking the doorway, preventing those inside from leaving and leading to the unlawful restraint charge against him.
The car with Cerpa and Alamo was located by U.S. Border Patrol on Interstate 91 south near the Barton exit at 12:07 p.m. The car then led officers from Border Patrol, Vermont State Police, and the Orleans County Sheriff’s Department on a pursuit.
The pursuit ended in Orleans where Cerpa and Alamo were taken into custody, according to police.
Cerpa was held on $50,000 bond. Alamo was held on $25,000 bond.
