3 Men Held on High Bonds Following Hartford Police Pursuit
The men were charged with a slew of weapons, narcotics and motor vehicle violations following a vehicle pursuit and brief foot chase.

HARTFORD, CT — Three men were arrested early Tuesday afternoon after Hartford police heard gunshots, followed by a vehicle pursuit and a brief foot chase.
Detectives were conducting surveillance in the area of Wawarme Avenue when they heard shots fired, then observed three suspects enter a dark-colored Volvo, fleeing from the scene. Moments later, ShotSpotter alerts, along with a citizen call for shots fired, were broadcast by dispatch, Deputy Chief Brian Foley said.
The suspect vehicle attempted to flee the area but was unable to elude police, and on Franklin Avenue, the suspects attempted to flee on foot, but were apprehended after a short foot pursuit, Foley said.

A pistol was recovered on scene, and the area was canvassed by responding canine units, Foley said.

- Nathaniel Dejesus, 18, of 19 Warren Street, Hartford - criminal possession of a firearm, first-degree reckless endangerment, unlawful discharge of a firearm, carrying a pistol without a permit, obliterated serial number on a firearm, weapons in a motor vehicle, possession of narcotics, possession of narcotics with intent to sell and interfering with police.
- Marico Ellis, 20, of 41 Enfield Street, Hartford - carrying a pistol without a permit, first-degree reckless endangerment, unlawful discharge of a firearm, obliterated serial number on a firearm, weapons in a motor vehicle, possession of a controlled substance, interfering with police and violation of probation.
- Carlos Santiago, 42, of 16 Delmont Street, Manchester - weapons in a motor vehicle, engaging police in pursuit, interfering with police, reckless driving, operating an unregistered motor vehicle, insufficient insurance and misuse of registration.
According to the Hartford Police Department arrest log, bonds were set at $450,000 for Dejesus, $525,000 for Ellis and $250,ooo for Santiago.
