9 Month-Old Baby's Death in Sterling Under Investigation: CT State Police
State Police said there is no evidence currently to indicate that anything criminal occurred but they are investigating.

Sterling, CT - State Police Detectives from Eastern District Major Crime say they are investigating the untimely death of a 9 month-old baby girl.
On July 14 at 11:44 a.m. Troopers from D-Danielson responded to 12 Logan Way, Sterling for a 9 month-old baby who was reported to be unresponsive, State Police said in a news release. This is a private residence where daycare is provided.
Troopers and EMS responded to the scene. EMS transported the baby to Backus Hospital where she was later pronounced deceased.

State Police Detectives from Eastern District Major Crime responded to the scene and assumed the investigation.
The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner (OCME) will conduct a post-mortem examination to determine cause of death.

There appears to be no criminal aspect to this case at this time, State Police said in a news release.
