'90s Con' In Hartford To Celebrate End Of Last Millennia

HARTFORD, CT — Wassup!

Ok, now that that is out of our system, we can head to a major event in Hartford March 15-17 that will make Generation X feel about as old as the two men running for president.

"90s Con" is coming to the Connecticut Convention Center in Hartford, 100 Columbus Blvd., Hartford, starting Friday and continuing all day Saturday, March 16, and Sunday, March 17.

Event hours are Friday, March 15, from 4 to 8 p.m.; Saturday, March 16, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; and Sunday, March 17, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Dubbed the "raddest celebration this side of the millennium," 90s Con is a pop culture celebration from the last decade to begin with a "19," when most of Gen X was in their 20s.

Of course, this event — which features more than its fair share of big names from pop culture that decade — is for any generation looking to wax poetic about a time when dial-up internet tested our patience.

So, how big are the names coming? Very big ones. At least four have won Oscars. (See the answers below)

Among them: Geena Davis and Susan Sarandon (Thelma and Louise); Alyssa Milano (Who's the Boss); cast members from "Boy Meets World"; cast members from "Full House"; Mira Sorvino ("Romy and Michelle's High School Reunion"); Marisa Tomei ("My Cousin Vinny") and, even, Patrick Duffy (who's not there for "Dallas," but "Step by Step").

In addition to panel discussions, musical performances, and merchandise sales, there are also autograph opportunities giving fans a chance to meet several celebrities.

The event is being organized by "That's 4 Entertainment" and it promises to make the Hartford area the place to be this weekend.
