HARTFORD/WALLINGFORD, CT — Hartford police arrested a Wallingford man Friday in connection with a child exploitation investigation that began with a search of a city residence in February 2025.

He was transported to the Hartford Police Detention Division for processing and was charged with first-degree possession of child abuse materials.

Torre is being held on a court-set bond of $250,000.

The Hartford Police Department’s Special Investigations Division — Child Exploitation Prevention Unit, assisted by the Emergency Response Team, executed a search and seizure warrant at a home on Oxford Street during the initial investigation into the possession of child sex abuse materials.

Detectives reported finding numerous items of illegal child sex abuse materials during that search.

Authorities said the suspect was taken into custody at the time and processed at the Hartford Police Detention Division.

As the investigation continued, detectives determined the suspect possessed additional child sex abuse materials, police said.

Based on those findings, investigators established probable cause and obtained an arrest warrant approved by a Superior Court judge, charging the suspect with possession of child abuse materials in the first degree.

Police said the investigation remains ongoing.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Hartford Police Tip Line at 860-722-TIPS (8477).
