A seminar for single women titled "Pay Your Loved Ones, Not the Government" will be held on Saturday, June 6 from 9 am to 12 noon. The event is being organized by the Take Charge Total Wellness Foundation and held at the Apostolic Fellowship Church of Jesus Christ, 1153 Blue Hills Avenue in Bloomfield. A light meal will be provided. There is a $50 fee, payable by cash or check at the door. Online pre-registration at www.TakeCharge.foundation is requested by June 2.
Presenters include Jackie Baldwin from South Glastonbury, a Financial Advisor with B&L Financial Architects who takes a holistic approach to long term planning; Brenden Healy from Colchester, a CPA and Partner-In-Charge of Tax Services at Whittlesey's Hartford office; and Marilyn Toland, Esquire, who operates Toland Law PC, a law firm in Hamden that specializes in estate planning, elder law and probate administration.
