Hartford Store Sells Powerball Winner To West Hartford Resident

The jackpot was short of the full Powerball payout, but it was life-altering nonetheless.

HARTFORD/WEST HARTFORD, CT — A West Hartford resident's trip to a convenience store in Hartford this week resulted in a life-altering lottery jackpot.

According to the Connecticut Lottery Corp., the lottery winner took a $200,000 prize playing the Powerball regional lottery drawing.

The winning ticket was purchased in Hartford at the ANJ DB Mart located on 894 Maple Ave.

Powerball is a massive, multi-state lottery game that costs $2 to play, with additional fees increasing the chances to win.

This lottery haul was short of the $212 million total jackpot, but $200,000 is likely a nice consolation prize for the player.
