Hartford Traffic Advisory: Street To Close For Banana Ball

A busy roadway will be closed July 22-26 as Hartford hosts the sold-out Banana Ball World Tour at Dunkin' Park.

HARTFORD, CT — Motorists traveling through downtown Hartford should expect traffic changes this week as the Banana Ball World Tour returns to Dunkin' Park for three sold-out games.

The Hartford Police Department announced that Trumbull Street between Main Street and Market Street will close beginning at 6 a.m. Wednesday, July 22, to accommodate event preparations.

The closure will remain in effect until noon Sunday, July 26.

Police are encouraging drivers to plan, use alternate routes, and allow extra travel time while traveling through downtown during the closure.

"We appreciate your patience and cooperation as we welcome this exciting event to the City of Hartford," the Hartford Police Department said in its advisory, reminding motorists to "travel safely and commute responsibly."

The Banana Ball World Tour will take place July 23-25 at Dunkin' Park.

This year's Hartford stop features the Savannah Party Animals taking on the league's newest team, the Indianapolis Clowns.

All three games are currently sold out, though fans can check the Savannah Bananas website for any last-minute ticket lottery or waitlist opportunities.

Banana Ball, created by the Savannah Bananas, is an entertainment-focused version of baseball known for its fast-paced format, choreographed performances, trick plays, and a unique set of rules designed to keep games moving while engaging fans.
