Hartford Police Announce OUI Checkpoint: See Where And When

Police are reminding motorists to drive sober, plan ahead and make responsible choices.

HARTFORD, CT — Hartford police will conduct an operating under the influence (OUI) enforcement checkpoint this week, according to an announcement from the department.

The checkpoint will be set up on Thursday, Aug. 6, from 5 p.m. to 1 a.m. in the vicinity of 1888 Main St.

Police said the checkpoint is part of the department's ongoing expanded OUI enforcement program.

The initiative is supervised by the Hartford Police Department Traffic Division and funded through a grant from the Connecticut Department of Transportation's OUI Enforcement Program.
