HARTFORD, CT — Two hundred sixty new businesses registered with the state across Hartford, East Hartford and Bloomfield in July, according to the Connecticut Business Registry. Hartford led with 179 filings, followed by East Hartford with 60 and Bloomfield with 21. The most unusual entry was Embryo Bio-Technologies - Utero Robotic Fleet LLC., which registered under the commercial and service industry machinery manufacturing category in Hartford on July 8.
Hartford Publications LLC registered as a newspaper publisher, and Homeo Essence Supplements LLC registered under medicinal and botanical manufacturing. Real estate, food service and personal services filings made up much of the rest of the month across all three towns.
State registration marks when a business files paperwork with the Secretary of the State, not necessarily when it opens to customers, so some of these ventures may not yet be operating at the addresses listed.
