Man In 20s Shot In Hartford, Taken To Hospital: Police

Hartford police are investigating a shooting near 41 Barnard St. Wednesday that wounded a man in his 20s.

HARTFORD, CT — Hartford police are investigating a shooting that left a man in his 20s wounded Wednesday afternoon.

Officers responded to an area hospital at about 1:24 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 26, after receiving a report that a gunshot victim had arrived for treatment, according to the Hartford Police Department.

Police said officers found a man in his 20s suffering from a gunshot wound that was not considered life-threatening.

Investigators determined the shooting occurred in the area of 41 Barnard St., police said.

The Hartford Police Department's Major Crimes and Crime Scene divisions responded and are investigating.

No information about a suspect or the circumstances leading to the shooting was released.

The investigation remains active and ongoing.
