HARTFORD, CT — The most expensive properties for sale in Hartford are apartment buildings, led by a $4.7 million listing on Ann Uccello Street.
But for anyone shopping for a place to live in the capital city, the five priciest single-family homes and condos on Zillow.com range from a 1912 house with eight bedrooms to a 14th-floor condo overlooking Bushnell Park.
No. 1 on the list is 34 Scarborough St., asking $699,000 after a $60,000 price cut on Oct. 13. The 4,421-square-foot house, built in 1912, has eight bedrooms, four full bathrooms and one half bathroom on 0.41 acres. It has been on Zillow for 33 days.
Just behind it is 524 Wethersfield Ave. in the South End, at $690,000 after a $10,000 price cut on Sept. 12. The price covers more than the house: the 2,000-square-foot home, built in 1993 with six bedrooms and two full bathrooms, is being sold together with a detached commercial building behind it, where the owner runs a tire service business. The listing says the business isn't part of the sale and will move out before closing. It has been on Zillow for 110 days.
Two houses are tied for No. 3 at $399,999. 197 Ridgefield St., built in 1925 in the Ridgefield Street Historic District, is a 3,085-square-foot colonial with five bedrooms, three full bathrooms and one half bathroom. It keeps its original hardwood floors and servants' staircase and has a detached two-car garage. Its price was cut by $50,000 on Aug. 12, and it has been on Zillow for 143 days.
The newest listing on the list is 850 Tower Ave., which hit Zillow just four days ago. The fully remodeled seven-room colonial, built in 1924, has 1,530 square feet, three bedrooms, one full bathroom and one half bathroom on a corner lot. It has a fireplace in the living and dining area, a sunroom, a first-floor primary bedroom, a two-car garage, and a new deck.
Closing out the top five is a condo with the best view on the list: unit 14ABC at 1 Gold St., in Bushnell Tower, asking $399,900. The 2,245-square-foot 14th-floor unit was made by combining three units, and it looks out on Bushnell Park and the State Capitol. It has three bedrooms and two full bathrooms, two balconies, a jetted tub in the primary bathroom, and two parking spaces in the underground garage. It has been on Zillow for 43 days.
Prices, listing status, and days on market are from each property's Zillow.com listing as of Oct. 26, 2026, and may change. Only homes marked "For sale" or offered as new construction were included; pending, coming-soon, and land-only listings were left out. Multifamily buildings, apartment buildings, and land were also left out of the Hartford list.
