Update: Second I-84 Crash This Morning Cleared

HARTFORD, CT — A single-vehicle crash on Interstate 84 eastbound in Hartford had caused a traffic backup and closed a lane, but it is now cleared.

According to the state Department of Transportation, the crash happened between exits 46 and 48 on the highway, resulting in the left lane being closed.

The accident was reported at about 8:22 a.m.

DOT officials, though, said the crash, which was just past Exit 46 at West Boulevard, was cleared by 9:05 a.m.

This was the second crash in that area to impact commuters Thursday morning, with a two-vehicle accident happening at 7:36 a.m., a crash that was cleared up relatively quickly.

That wreck was between exits 44 and 46 in Hartford.
