Boy, 14, Shot In Hartford Monday Morning: Police

HARTFORD, CT— The Hartford Police Department is investigating the shooting that left a 14-year-old male injured early Monday morning.

Patrol officers were dispatched at about 6:45 a.m. to the area of 22 East Street following a report of a gunshot victim, police said.

Upon arrival, officers found the teen suffering from a gunshot wound described as non-life-threatening, according to the HPD.

The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment, police said.

Investigators believe the shooting may not have occurred on East Street, and the exact location remains unknown.

The department’s Major Crimes and Crime Scene divisions have taken over the case.

No additional details about suspects or circumstances were immediately available.
