Free Bank of America “Scaminar” Event: Recognize Fraud, Avoid Scams, and Protect Finances

This Thursday, September 17, Bank of America will host free, hour-long Scaminars (scam awareness and fraud prevention seminars) at participating Greater Hartford financial centers. The interactive seminars are designed to help consumers stay one step ahead of scammers and better protect themselves from fraud.

Scaminars will cover:

• Common fraud tactics and warning signs consumers should know 

• Emerging scams targeting individuals, families and businesses 

• Steps financial institutions take to help safeguard clients 

• Tools, resources and best practices to help prevent fraud 

• What to do and where to turn if you believe you've been scammed
