On Campus - Greater Hartford College Students

Eastern Connecticut State University, Willimantic CT

• Eastern Connecticut State University student Laina Rivers of Bloomfield is one of three students participating in the Holmes Master's Program this year. The program supports students from underrepresented backgrounds who are pursuing careers in education. Rivers majors in Elementary Education This year's Eastern participants are developing the talents needed to become agents of change in the teaching workforce, while also earning their master's degree. The program also allows them to work closely with different communities in an effort to engage in research opportunities and advocate for equity and diversity.

Gettysburg College, Gettysburg PA

• Gettysburg College students with a quality point average in the range of 3.300 to 3.599 for a semester's work are placed on the Deans' Commendation List. Peter Brainard of Hartford, Class of 2020, has been placed on the fall 2017 list.

Western New England University, Springfield MA

• Western New England University welcomed over 100 February graduates as alumni on February 15, 2018. Local graduates are: Alyssa K. Sargent of East Hartford, summa cum laude Bachelor of Science in Business Administration / Accounting; Tyrone J. Napper, Jr. of Hartford, Juris Doctor; and Papa Rao Payyavula of Hartford, Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering.
