Campus Notes - Greater Hartford College Students

GREATER HARTFORD, CT — Here are some recent notable accomplishments by local college students, as provided by readMedia Newswire.

American International College, Springfield MA

• American International College awarded 600 undergraduate and graduate degrees to students representing 14 states and six countries at its 2018 Commencement ceremony. Dana Bramble of East Hartford received a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry; Valencia Bagby-Young of Bloomfield received a Master of Science in Nursing in Family Nurse Practitioner; Naquan Smith of Bloomfield received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in General Business; Rhianna Eaton of East Hartford received a Bachelor of Science in Human Biology; Briana Kelly of Bloomfield received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in Nursing; Anna Lindo of Bloomfield received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in Nursing; Shaneisha Jones of Hartford received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science; Kemani-Malik Hume of Bloomfield received a Bachelor of Science in Psychology; and Allison Thompson of Bloomfield received a Master of Education in Reading Specialist.

Champlain College, Burlington VT

• Violet Bell and James Gifford, both of Hartford, have been named to the Champlain College Dean's List for achieving a grade point average of 3.5 or higher in the spring 2018 semester.

Tunxis Community College, Farmington CT

• Tunxis Community College held its 47th Commencement on May 30 at Central Connecticut State University. A total of 805 degrees and certificates were conferred to 645 graduates from 60 Connecticut towns as well as Massachusetts and New Jersey, and included noncredit certificates awarded through Continuing Education and Workforce Development. Bloomfield residents receiving degrees and/or certificates were Elliston Davis, Jr., Joshua Gordon, Paryss Marshall, Annebel Robinson and Coleen Steele. Hartford residents were Julie Campbell, Otavio De Almeida Silva, Michael Masser and Rayna Reyes.
