American International College, Springfield MA

• The Rex's Best Award is presented to American International College (AIC) juniors and seniors who have demonstrated personal growth through sustained leadership in clubs, organizations, athletics, and/or in the community while serving as positive role models both inside and outside of the classroom. Rex is the AIC mascot. Local recipients were Dana Bramble of East Hartford, majoring in Chemistry/Minor-Education, and Ginger Solomon of Hartford, majoring in Liberal Studies.

James Madison University, Harrisonburg VA

• Phoebe Katherine McGrath of Bloomfield graduated with a degree in Education from The Graduate School at James Madison University during the May 4, 2018 graduate school commencement exercises.
  McGrath was among more than 600 students who received master's, educational specialist and doctoral degrees.

Kennesaw State University, Kennesaw GA

• Kennesaw State University recently welcomed its newest class of graduates. Phillip Jones of Bloomfield earned a Executive MBA. Nearly 2,300 students earned bachelor's, master's or doctoral degrees during spring 2018 commencement ceremonies May 8-10.
