Capital Prep Girls Receive More Votes in Basketball Poll
A six-game winning streak has helped the Trailblazers overcome a 1-3 start.

HARTFORD, CT — Six straight wins over out-of-state opponents has helped the Capital Prep girls basketball team acquire votes in the weekly poll of coaches and media members.
The Trailblazers (7-3) did not crack the top 10, but look to continue their momentum and reclaim that position. Capital Prep plays a rare in-state game against Weaver on Monday, then travels to New York to face Immaculate Conception (NJ) on Friday night.
Mercy (11-0) captured eight of 14 first-place votes to lead the rankings outright for the second straight week. New London (12-0) garnered the other six top spots to place second.
