Cedar Hill Cemetery Foundation Offers Gilded Age Walking Tour

Join Cedar Hill Cemetery Foundation on Thursday, June 11, 2026 at 6:30 pm for the guided tour, Hartford in the Gilded Age.

Learn about Hartford in the late 19th century, a time when the city saw extraordinary economic, industrial, and population growth.

The walking tour, led by Foundation Director Beverly Lucas, explores topics such as industrialization, immigration, materialism, and philanthropy.

Hear about the prominent Morgan and Goodwin families, Nook Farm residents John & Isabella Hooker, German immigrant Cuno Helfricht and more.

Admission is $10.00; Cedar Hill Cemetery Foundation Members Free. Advance reservations are recommended and may be made online at cedarhillfoundation.org.

Cedar Hill Cemetery is located at 453 Fairfield Avenue, Hartford. The tour begins at the flagpole at the end of the entrance drive.
