Hartford's Parkville Market To Host World Cup Viewing Parties
Parkville Market in Hartford will have a large inflatable viewing screen for a World Cup semifinal Wednesday and the finals this weekend.
HARTFORD, CT — As World Cup fever sweeps the planet, it only makes sense that a local market dedicated to international cuisine get swept up as well.
Which is why Hartford's Parkville Market is partnering with All Waste and the Hartford Chamber of Commerce to host a pair of viewing parties for the final two rounds of the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
The first viewing party will be held Wednesday, Dec. 14, at 2 p.m. for the semifinal match between France vs. Morocco, with another viewing party Sunday, Dec. 18, at 10 a.m. for the World Cup final, the participants yet to be determined.

For these events, Parkville Market will be showing the matches on a giant inflatable screen (courtesy of FunFlicks CT) on the first floor as well as on screens throughout the market.
There will also be Happy Hour drink and food specials throughout the matches.

“Parkville Market’s nearly two dozen vendors represent more than 10 countries from around the world, so these viewing parties are a perfect opportunity to bring together our international communities to celebrate an amazing spectacle like the World Cup,” said Parkville Market President Chelsea Mouta.
“We are thrilled to be part of this amazing event that will bring people from all across the county into Hartford to watch one of the world’s greatest athletic competitions,” said Julio Concepción, executive director of the Hartford Chamber of Commerce.
There is plenty of free parking available at Parkville Market with overflow parking available next door at Pope Commons Plaza, 1200 Park St. Parkville Market is housed in the former Capitol City Lumber Co. Building.
