Center for Healthy Aging Hosts Veterans Suicide Prevention Training
Hartford Healthcare Center for Healthy Aging is offering 90-minute training sessions on Veterans Suicide Prevention.
HARTFORD- Hartford Healthcare Center for Healthy Aging is offering 90-minute training sessions on Veterans Suicide Prevention using the Question, Persuade, and Refer (QPR) method. This training is open to all community members to help reduce veteran suicide and support veterans.
Veterans make up a significant portion of those affected by mental health crises, with 1 in 3 suicide completions involving veterans. Connecticut is home to 160,000 veterans, highlighting the need for community-based intervention.

- Monday, August 19 at 1:00 PM: Hartford Hospital, Conklin Building, Gilman Auditorium, 80 Seymour Avenue, Hartford
- Friday, September 6 at 10:00 AM: Charlotte Hungerford Hospital, Memorial Conference Room, 540 Litchfield Street, Torrington
- Monday, September 9 at 1:00 PM: St. Vincent's Medical Center, Hawley 3, 2800 Main Street, Bridgeport
- Wednesday, September 11 at 2:00 PM: HHC Education Building, 11 Stott Avenue, Norwich
