City Signs Deal For $26 Million Mixed-Use Development

The city has signed an agreement with a developer who intends to build a $26 million retail and residential project.

HARTFORD, CT — The city has come to an agreement with a developer of a 126-unit apartment and retail community planned for Park and Main streets, The Hartford Business Journal reported. The agreement with developers Spinnaker Real Estate Partners, of Norwalk, and Freeman Cos., of Hartford, is for two buildings worth $26 million on two city-owned properties south of downtown.

Developers plan to break ground in the late first quarter or early second quarter. The buildings are slated to include 18 studio, 84 one-bedroom, and 24 two-bedroom units. A 9,000-square-foot rooftop lounge and 20,000 square feet of retail space are also planned, The Hartford Business Journal reported.
