Commission Suspends Hartford State's Attorney

The Criminal Justice Commission handed down a suspension for the state's attorney's failure to investigate police shootings.

HARTFORD, CT — The Criminal Justice Commission has approved a four-day suspension for Hartford State's Attorney Gail Hardy, according to FOX 61. The suspension is connection with Hardy's failure to investigate and report on police shooting cases.

Hardy expressed her "sincerest apologies" in a statement and said that families deserve to have "their cases resolved in as timely a fashion as possible."

Officials told FOX 61 that there were investigations of police officers using deadly force dating back to 2008.
