Connecticut Athletes Win 7 Events at New England Track Meet
The state also produced 11 runners-up and 47 other top 8 performances Saturday in Boston.

BOSTON, MA — Connecticut athletes turned in some impressive performances Saturday at the 31st annual New England Interscholastic Indoor Track & Field Championships, held at the Reggie Lewis Track and Athletic Center on the campus of Roxbury Community College.
The Nutmeg State produced seven champions: two from Danbury and one each from Career Magnet, Glastonbury, Greenwich, Hall and Staples. Connecticut also had 11 runners-up and 47 other top 8 performances.
Danbury led the way with four placewinning finishes, while Bloomfield, Fairfield Ludlowe, Greenwich and Staples each had three. A pair of top 8 placements were turned in by athletes from Derby, Hall, Hamden, Hillhouse, Immaculate, Newtown, Simsbury, Wethersfield, Windsor and Xavier, while 29 other state schools had one apiece.
