Connecticut Landmarks Hosts "Make Your Own Wreath" Virtual Event
Viewers will be shown tips and tricks to make wreath making fun, fast, and easy from the comfort of home.

Hartford, Conn – Connecticut Landmarks invites our friends and neighbors to make a gorgeous holiday wreath to decorate their front door with us! During a live Zoom session, Connecticut Landmarks’ Site Administrators will show participants step-by-step how to create their very own evergreen wreath. Viewers will be shown tips and tricks to make wreath making fun, fast, and easy from the comfort of home. The virtual workshop will be held on Sunday, November 29th at 2 pm and will be available on-demand after the live session to ensure that wreath-makers of all schedules can enjoy this timeless holiday tradition.

All of the necessary supplies to make an evergreen wreath with a decorative bow will be available for pick-up at one of our participating sites. Wreath kit includes greens, a 12” wire wreath ring, wire, festive red bow, and written instructions. The Zoom link will be sent via email to all registered attendees as the workshop gets closer. In addition to the provided materials, a pair of gardening gloves and clippers are recommended for a more comfortable crafting experience. If participants wish to forage for pinecones, holly, and other natural materials from their yard or garden (or purchase additional decorations), our wreath experts will cover how to add them to the completed wreath. Once assembled, wreath dimensions will be approximately 24” in diameter.
The cost is $45 per wreath kit, $35 for CTL Members. Registration is required at https://ctl-wreath-making.eventbrite.com by Sunday, November 15th. Participants can select the pick-up time and location when placing their order from the following options:

For best results, greens should be assembled by December 11th. Completed wreathes can be shared on social media by using the hashtag #CTLWreathMaking. The wreath with the most likes by Tuesday, December 15th at 12 pm will win a prize!
